The Pastor’s Corner
Hopefully spring is here to stay. As we approach May there there are several special days and events for our church family.
May 6 at 4:00 p.m. a concert featuring the Emmaus Road Band will be held on the church lawn. Sam Rooks who grew up in Skipwith Baptist Church is one of the members of this group. They are well respected in the community. Come and be blessed by this event.
May 13 is Mother’s Day. Join us in worship as we present flowers to the mothers in attendance. It is a good spiritual discipline to remember and be grateful for our mothers.
May 20 singing and speaking about heaven. Our choir is presenting a short spiritual presentation of music focused on heaven. This will be a special day. On that Sunday I will respond to questions members have submitted about their thoughts and questions about heaven. Let us claim all the promises God has given to us about life and eternal life.
Small group study for women. We are forming a small group for women focused on the dynamics of grief of women who lost mothers in midlife. If you have an interest in being a part of this group you are welcome to speak to the pastor or Beth Andrews for details.
Blessings,
Cecil
