The Worship of God

September 22, 2019

11:00 AM

The prelude music is a time for beginning worship.  Observing a time of silence and prayer will free the congregation to focus on the worship of God.

The Prelude                                                                                     Mrs. Beth Braun

The Chiming of the Hour

The Greeting and the Lord’s Prayer                               Mr. Russell Dalton

*The Opening Hymn # 132           There is Power in the Blood

The Gospel Lesson           Romans 11: 33-36    NIV

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

“Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?

“Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?”

For from him and through him and to him are all things.

To him be the glory forever! Amen.

                                              1 Timothy 3:14-16  NIV

Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that, if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.  Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great:

He appeared in a body,

Was vindicated by the Spirit,

Was seen by angels,

Was preached among the nations,

Was believed on in the world,

Was taken up in glory.

This is the word of God for the people of God.

Thanks be to God.
